Does your heart beat faster when you are a strategic proactive subject matter expert helping to architect a modern desktop environment while keeping up-to-date with current operating systems and endpoint protection?

Our Houston based client has tasked us with sourcing an experienced Microsoft Endpoint Architect responsible for architecture, design, implementation, and upgrades of System Center Configuration Manager [SCCM] for a large enterprise environment.

A day in the life:

You will manage large-scale desktop deployment in an enterprise environment
You will be responsible for encrypting all company owned computers using BitLocker
You will be responsible for keeping all versions of Windows within current Microsoft support windows
You will use SQL to report on status of all company owned devices
You will design and build Windows 10 images
You will manage distribution points, boundaries and component health check
You will troubleshoot any issues with SCCM Client Health
You will work with third-party vendors to ensure we are using best business practices
You will create support documentation including design, build and operation guides
You will communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form

What our client would like to see in order you to be successful:

Our client would like to see ten (10) years of experience with System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) design/architecture and implementation
Our client would like to see experience managing over 15,000 endpoints in a large enterprise environment
Our client would like to see experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, Windows 7/8/10 desktop transformation/desktop modernization
Our client would like to see experience with managing group policy objects [GPO’s]
Our client would like to see experience with PowerShell scripting
Our client would like to see experience with Application Packaging and Windows Imaging
Our client would like to see your experience building a positive working relationships with third-party vendors
Our client would like to see your experience submitting change requests and following company policies/standards
Our client would will consider it a plus to see your experience with Cloud Management Gateway (CMG)
Our client would will consider it a plus to see your experience with O365
Our client would will consider it a plus to see your experience with Intune
Our client would will consider it a plus to see your experience with AutoPilot a plus

What our client would like to see to move you to the top of the list:

Our client would like to see extensive knowledge of the following areas: System Center Configuration Management (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), GPO’s, patching, scripting, encryption and SQL.
Our client would like to see knowledge of operation management, systems security, testing and mobility considerations
Our client would like to see knowledge of desktop and application virtualization
Our client would like to see strong understanding of network protocols/services and network infrastructure
Our client would like to see strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
Our client would like to see a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems or a related field
