INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS

LS Building Products is a private, locally owned company, with distribution locations throughout the Greater Central Illinois Region. Our goal at LS Building Products is to be the premier distributor of building materials in our markets, and to provide superior customer service and professional support to those we serve. Our inside sales team is an integral part of identifying and bringing on new customers and providing superior service to our existing customers.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answer incoming phone calls, route to appropriate personnel, or take messages as needed
  • Enter material orders given by customers and salesmen
  • Prepare credit memos for returned material
  • Greet and assist customers at the counter
  • Inform customers of current and new products or services by initiating telephone calls and in person at the sales counter
  • Listen to and resolve customer service challenges and opportunities
  • Schedule deliveries
  • Monitor Inventory levels and report to ordering personnel of any inconsistencies
  • Process quotes for customers and salesmen
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with purchasing when needed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Communication skills – verbal and written
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Reliable
  • Computer skills – in-house system
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Sales Experience: 1 year(s) (Preferred)
  • Customer Service Experience: 1 year(s) (Preferred)

JOB TYPE: Full-time

RATE OF PAY: From $21/hr. w/ commission potential

BENEFITS:

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:30

EDUCATION: High school or equivalent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
