LRK is Hiring a BIM Manager Near Memphis, TN

LRK is seeking a BIM Manager to strengthen our design team. Responsibilities include:

Standards, Best Practices and Quality Assurance:

  • BIM standards and best practices development, implementation, and enforcement in conjunction with Revit Focus Group
  • Document/Element Naming Standards
  • Modeling Standards
  • Drafting Standards
  • Document Control/Issue Procedure (Newforma)
  • Maintenance of the software Template files to assure standards
  • Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
  • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
  • Assist Revit Focus Group in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
  • Create written deployment strategies for BIM implementation effort

Template:

  • Maintain Revit Project Template
  • Titleblocks
  • Annotations
  • Template Settings

Content:

  • Content Library Organizational Structure
  • Family Templates & shared Parameter File
  • Family Creation Standard/QC
  • Content Request System
  • Create Revit families in response to project need

Model Management:

  • Develop Model Automation
  • Audit Contents (purging, keeping files lean, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Assist project teams in BIM project setup
  • Linking BIM to the project Construction Administration Phase for submittals, construction models, shop drawings and schedules

Training:

  • Training Strategy Development in conjunction with Revit Focus Group
  • Induction/Onboarding Process; Test new hires skills in BIM
  • Training Content Development
  • Tracking & Reporting to HR
  • Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies; Staying informed of current/future BIM updates and best practices
  • Internal Training: Work with Revit Focus Group to provide Fundamental and Intermediate training to staff/new hires
  • Conduct internal lunch and learn sessions/best practices
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back lessons learned and disseminating the information to appropriate teams and Revit Focus Group
  • Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training

Support:

  • Work with IT Department as needed to provide hardware and network support related to BIM production
  • Support the BIM technology needs of all our offices
  • Help Resolve BIM design issues

BIM Execution Plan:

  • Manage Standard Scope of Services
  • Coordinate BIM Execution Plan development and use on all projects
  • Caveats/Legal
  • Advise Projects on Contract BIM Deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the AEC field required, Architecture degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in the architecture industry using Revit and a minimum of 3 years directly supporting a BIM user environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a team environment that fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing.
