LRADAC is Hiring a Nurse, LPN Near Columbia, SC


 **A $3.00 per hour shift differential will be added for all hours worked on weekends and hours between 7pm and 7am.**

**Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am Wed, Thurs, Fri & every other Saturday**

Our prevention, intervention and treatment programs spread the message that there is hope and that substance misuse and addiction are preventable and treatable.

As a Nurse, LPN the primary duty is to monitor and provide medical treatment and supportive services in a medical sub-acute withdrawal management treatment setting. Under regular supervision of the Director, the incumbent works with clients to provide services on the Detox withdrawal management unit. Primary job duties performed include assessment of clients, to include withdrawal management screening; auditing and administering medications per standing protocols and/or provider’s orders; and providing recovery support to clients on the unit.

Position Logistics

  • Full-time 37.5 hrs. Weekly - evenings; overtime and flex schedule as approved by supervisor.
  • Routinely 7:00pm-7:00am Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other Saturday 
  • $3 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00pm-7:00am and any hours worked on Saturday and Sunday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversite of the Unit 

  • Direct ancillary staff/coordinate patient care during the shift. 

Client Support

  • Perform initial nursing admission assessments, to include Nursing History and Assessment, CIWA, COWS, nursing care plan and MAR records.
  • Ensure appropriate medication regimen is provided to each client per protocol and/or provider’s orders, providing education as needed.
  • Monitor client progress to assess for follow-up with the provider as needed. 
  • Complete initial screenings (phone and walk-in) and record information. 
  • Monitors client progress, addresses client needs, and maintains clinical documentation per established guidelines.
  • Provides individual and group services, as directed, to address client needs.

Administrative 

  • Review completed screenings for medical eligibility approval.
  • Prepare clients for discharge, to include Nursing Discharge Plan.
  • Pre-certify and review clients with third party payers. 
  • Completes documentation per agency standards.

Minimum Education and/or Experience

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; and one year of related experience and/or training are required.

SC Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.
