CCI: Salary Range: $39,893.33 - $49,866.67

CC II: Salary Range: $47,146.67 - $57,120.00

As a Clinical Counselor I or II in ADSAP the primary duty is the performance of work requiring advance knowledge acquired during a four-year degree course of instruction; and requires the incumbent to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in applying her advanced knowledge. Primary activities will be to conduct assessments and complete treatment plans in a timely manner, as well as provide intense case management. Individual, group and families counseling may be provided as needed within the agency. This candidate will work a split between the ADSAP Department and the Juvenile Drug Court.

Position Logistics

  • Full-Time 34-hour work week (4-days) 
  • Routinely 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM shifts Monday-Thursday, with the exception of evenings and weekends required for JDC, flex schedule as approved by supervisor. 
  • Some evening hours will be required for ADSAP, flex schedule as approved by supervisor. 
  • 1-2 days per week and weekend hours require 1-2 times per month for the JDC.
  • We are open to hiring as a Clinical Counselor I or II. Level and compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.
  • This candidate will work a split between the ADSAP Department and the Juvenile Drug Court.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist the Lexington Program Manager with the day-to-day functions of the Richland office.
    • Inform the ADSAP Program Manager and assist in the resolution.
    • Ensure program quality compliance procedures for ADSAP files, i.e. reviewing and signing appropriate documents.
    • Conducts assessment interviewing for ADSAP patients and, when indicated, makes referrals to appropriate services. 
    • Develops and maintains individualized treatment plans.
    • Provides as needed individual, family and group counseling sessions for ADSAP.
    • Provides case consultation to assure comprehensive quality care of clients.
    • Coordinate and conducts screening and clinical assessments for juvenile drug court patients and makes recommendation to the Solicitor’s Office for acceptance into the program.
    • Provides individual and family services for patients as identified and ensures documentation of services according to established quality assurance guidelines and time frames.
    • Monitors patient progress, identifies case management needs and provides documentation in the patient records according to established quality assurance guidelines.
    • Provide court reports as scheduled and appear at all scheduled court sessions. 
    • Participate in all staffings and treatment teams to coordinate patient care.

Minimum Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service field and experience performing the essential duties of the position are required. 
  • Master’s degree in human service field and experience in performing the essential duties of the position are preferred. Licensure and/or certification are highly desired. Experience working with adolescent population highly desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified as Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Addiction Professionals of South Carolina, or able to complete the certification process within the required three year timeframe.
