LRADAC is Hiring an ADSAP Group Leader, PRN-Bilinigual Near Columbia, SC

As a Group Leader, the primary duty is the performance of work requiring advance knowledge acquired during a four-year degree course of instruction; and requires the incumbent to consistently exercise discretion and judgement in applying advanced knowledge. Under regular supervision of the ADSAP Program Manager and/or Director of Intervention Services, counsels and aids English and/or Spanish-speaking individuals requiring assistance coping with substance use disorders.

Position Logistics

  • Hourly, PRN
  • PRN, working less than 12 hours weekly, evening or weekend hours required, work schedule as determined by supervisor

Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience performing the essential duties of the position.
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience performing the essential duties of the position are required. 
  • Applicant must be PRI (Prime for Life) Certified within 2 years.

Position Overview:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Conducts Group Counseling Sessions in English and/or Spanish.
  • Monitors client’s progress and identify ongoing needs. Work in collaboration with clinical counselors/case managers.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients. Ability to translate program and patient information from English into Spanish and from Spanish into English.
