Job Summary:

We are seeking a Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various facilities and equipment. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn and grow!

Schedule: Monday-Friday position; on-call rotation required

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the completion of assigned maintenance service requests in a timely manner

· Maintain inventory lists for cleaning and maintenance supplies

· Complete daily inspection of property during your walks and notify Managers of any issues

· Maintain the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building interiors/exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other common areas

· Prep and paint apartments based on turn schedule

· Prepare make ready units, including removing trash, cleaning, painting, light plumbing and electrical work

· Paint common areas

· Assist maintenance team with snow removal and landscaping

· Replace, repair or adjust locks, cylinders, latches, door checks, springs knobs, hinges and window blinds

· Replace, repair or adjust receptacles, plates, sockets, switches, and lighting fixtures

· Replace, repair or adjust speedy connectors, washers, faucets, cartridges, flush meter, other plumbing parts, toilet seats, toilet hardware, showerheads, shower rods and curtains

· Install smoke alarms and any other fire safety devices

· Grout and replace wall tiles

· Check and report leaks, damage, debris and security issues

· Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, amenity spaces, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Manager/Property Manager

· Assist with the preventative maintenance program

· Assist management with other projects, as requested and required

· Maintain excellent customer service with the residents and building staff

· If required, participate in the emergency on-call program

Minimum Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Relative maintenance/property maintenance experience ; willingness to learn

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Well organized with excellent time management skills

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance

· Work overtime hours as required to complete assignments/projects

· Work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment

· Comply with all company policies and procedures

· Professional Image
