Are you ready to significantly impact the lives of individuals who face obstacles to learning? Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Evaluator to join our team as a part-time employee in our Wood River Valley office.

LPLC, a leader in education nonprofits, is a comprehensive training, service, and research center with a rich history and a promising future. Located in Boise, Idaho, with satellite offices in the Sun Valley area, LPLC was founded in 1997 by Alan and Wendy Pesky in honor of their son, Lee. Today, LPLC provides evaluation and one-on-one intensive intervention to individuals facing obstacles to learning while also training teachers in the classroom and supporting students in schools and communities. We recognize that obstacles to learning can be multi-faceted, and we understand the power of prevention.

You will be responsible for helping to complete comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations with students aged 5 to adult. At LPLC, comprehensive evaluations assess self-regulation, information processing, and academic skills. Results are integrated across the three areas, and recommendations are crafted to address the individual’s unique learning, social, and emotional needs.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work with a team of dedicated professionals committed to making a difference. Collaboration is at the heart of our integrated service delivery system, ensuring that each student receives comprehensive support.
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: LPLC is committed to improving school and life outcomes of individuals facing learning or attention challenges while also addressing the systemic obstacles faced by our communities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test in-person and online: Administer standardized assessments in-person or online via Zoom. We believe in reaching students where they are, removing barriers to students’ learning opportunities.
  • Participate in a team that conducts comprehensive evaluations: Attend/conduct initial interviews to determine needs; administer cognitive, educational, and psychological tests; support writing of reports, including an integrated interpretation of self-regulation, information processing, and academic skills; help provide feedback to explain results of testing and recommendations to students and families.
