Auto Body Tech Apprentice

Looking for Body Tech Apprentice with strong sense of initiative and desire to learn. Will help and learn from experienced Body Tech.

Responsibilities

• Auto Body Repair Technician (Bodyman) Apprentice
• Panel fit and alignment
• Disassembly of vehicles
• Final assembly of vehicle
• Block sanding of primer area
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Efficiently work and maintain company minimum standards
• Maintain collision repair equipment to ensure proper performance
• Inspect all parts and areas of the vehicles scheduled to be repaired
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Work with other departments to ensure a quality products and on-time delivery
• Apply seam sealers and corrosion protection to specifications as per manufactures
• Must review the repair order for each vehicle prior to beginning any work on the vehicle
• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel or crouch in providing a properly prepared vehicle for painting
• Duties including lifting, welding, preparing, sanding, taping, masking & cleaning of vehicles prior to being moved into painting
• Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of materials and acquire knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements

Shop is located in McKinney, stablished with large volume of cars. Looking to expand fleet business.

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Auto body repair: 1 year (Required)
• Remove and Install car panels: 1 year (Required)
• sanding and masking: 1 year (Preferred)
• using bondo for car repairs: 1 year (Preferred)
• repair car bumpers: 1 year (Preferred)
