Loyola University New Orleans is Hiring a Video & Multimedia Production Specialist Near Orleans, LA

The Video and Multimedia Production Specialist produces captivating video content to tell Loyola University New Orleans’s story to a wide range of audiences. The Specialist works with the university’s video production vendors and also manages a student video team to create videos in a wide range of styles. Creates videos to support student recruitment efforts, fundraising initiatives, retention efforts, and occasionally for internal communications.
Envisions and develops video concepts and scripts that will drive engagement with the target audience, collaborating with the University’s video production partners and/or the student video team to execute that vision. Concepts are described in detail to help clients understand the vision and ensure that everyone is in agreement before filming begins.
Coordinates all aspects of production, developing a schedule and budget, scouting and scheduling locations, identifying and scheduling talent, and ensuring talent releases are obtained.
Assists in selection of music and graphics packages for videos.
Oversees post-production, gathering feedback from key stakeholders.
Becomes familiar with existing Loyola footage and proactively suggests opportunities to update or expand it.
Ensures that video content is integrated into marketing campaigns as appropriate.
Manages the Loyola YouTube channel.
Takes an active role in brainstorming for marketing campaigns across media.
Provides guidance to clients on video trends; reports on impacts and audience engagement for video content.
Stays up to date with the latest aesthetic trends in video content on social media, web and TV.
May assist with events in the J. Michael Early Studio as needed.
Other duties as assigned.Minimum of 3 years of professional video production experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in filmmaking, marketing, communications, journalism, design or other related communications field.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, ensuring that client needs and deadlines are met.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently and productively under deadline pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to work outside of traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cinematography and/or video editing skills preferred.
Higher education experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Able to work at computer 90% of time.
Light lifting of boxes (max 15 lbs.).
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
