The Women's Health Unit consists of a 30 bed Antepartum/Postpartum, 18 bed Normal Newborn Nursery, 6 bed Intermediate/Special Care, 6 bed LDR, 6 bed High Risk, 2 bed L&D Triage area, and 2 OR suites. We care for both low and high risk laboring patients, antepartum, scheduled, and unscheduled and emergent cesarean sections, high risk care of pregnant patients with co-morbidities such as preeclampsia, diabetes, cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions. Care of the pregnant patient carrying a child with congenital malformations or life threatening conditions. Care of patients experiencing pre-term labor, multiple gestational pregnancy, and serious complications of pregnancy.
