| Duties and Responsibilities | The part-time Senior Staff Scientist position will be responsible for the coordination of the ongoing research and training programs related to the joint initiatives between the Division of Cardiology of the Department of Medicine and the Cardiovascular Institute and its divisions. The main responsibilities of the Senior Staff Scientist will include the following:
The Staff Scientist will report to Dr.'s Fareed and Darki and will undertake other assignments related to Cardiology and CVRI research projects. The Senior Staff Scientist will also participate in educational programs and other academic activities of the Departments of Medicine and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. |
| Minimum Education and/or Work Experience | Required: Doctoral Degree (MD or PhD) Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, other biomedical sciences. Minimum 2-5 years of completed mentored postdoctoral scientific training and/or 7 years of work experience. |
