Lowen Corporation is Hiring a General Labor Near Hutchinson, KS
Summary
Unload and load trucks, deliver materials between plant locations and to local vendors. Hang up, take down, and box parts on and from the paint line. Perform sheet metal activities such as shearing, punch press operation, drill press, rod bender and pointer. Set up and operate punch press to trim, punch, or shape. Assemble and install dies in press according to specifications. Perform other duties necessary and required from Manager.
Essential Functions

-Follow the safety procedures and practices for each piece of equipment.
-Operate electric/manual pallet jacks, crown lift and forklift.
-Know where to find materials necessary for work order.
-Make sure metal is sheared according to customer expectations.
-Select correct dies, set up and operate punch presses to produce high quality sheet metal parts.
-Make sure metal has the correct holes punched for customer.
-Inspect work and be able to adjust machine if necessary, paying close attention to detail.
-Know the difference between Classic, Thor, Gibraltar and stakes.
-Can trouble shoot and resolve problems.
-Able to work on additional equipment in other areas as needed.
-May perform inspections on presses.
-Maintain concentration over long periods of repetitive work.

Requirements
-Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Must have valid Driver’s License.
-Must have manufacturing experience.
Work Environment
-Cement floor with anti-fatigue mats provided for comfort.
-Will work around moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
-Required to reach level 4 physical capacity test post hire.
-Occasional walking, sitting, reach across midline, feeling, squatting, stooping, kneeling.
-Occasional fine manipulation
-Occasional carrying 50-80 lbs., pushing/pulling 20-100 lbs.
-Frequent change of position, reaching, handling
-Frequent arm/hand, leg/foot control, firm grasping
-Constant standing
