Looking for a hospital with flexible scheduling, where your ideas count and are valued? We are looking for a veterinarian to join our Urgent Care team and help bring our practice to the next level. Lowell Road Veterinary Center is a state-of-the-art hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs and cats in the Southern NH area, 7 days a week. We practice the highest quality medicine while providing our pets and clients with the utmost care and compassion. We are ready with a positive, experienced support staff and excellent clientele and well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental x-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory. We aim to make sure our clients and pets experiences leave them with a comfortable feeling as if they are an extended part of Hudson Pet Urgent Care’s family!

Job Description

We’re looking for afull time or part time veterinarian who is a compassionate, team player and strong communicator. We are looking for an individual who can motivate staff and help build and maintain morale as well as our core values and standards. Someone who is able to promote a collaborative working environment, demonstrates “take-charge” capabilities, understands the value of teamwork, and enthusiastically and willingly performs as necessary to help the hospital function as a unit.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in an ER or Urgent Care setting and be willing to work evenings. Hours of operation: 6pm-10pm, Mon-Friday; 10am-6pm, Saturdays and Sundays, scheduling is flexible!

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  • Active veterinary state license
  • Current DEA License preferred but not required
  • USDA Accreditation preferred but not required

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be confident around animals (i.e., dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. Candidate to confirm species treated with practice leadership for additional clarity.)
  • Client needs and work volume may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. This position may require special working hours, including working weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
  • Must have mental capacity and processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderately high. Ear plugs will be available upon request.
  • Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
