Job Summary – House Coordinator Tue-Sat 7am-3pm

The House Coordinator is a Recovery Specialist with additional assigned duties. The House Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director in household upkeep, supply ordering, meal planning, and kitchen safety in addition to the daily Recovery Specialist job duties.

1. Maintain stock of office and cleaning supplies.

2. Create weekly food menu in conjunction with program residents and Program Director.

3. Oversight of resident chore chart completion.

4. Complete scheduled grocery shopping.

5. Adhere to program budget and expenditure limits.

6. Completion of purchase orders and submission to LHI finance dept.

7. Appropriate use of tax exemplification.

8. Communication with Lowell House Inc. about safe disposal of trash.

9. Oversee and report any appliance or maintenance issues to Program Director, phone for repair as directed.

10. Seek out donations from area businesses, i.e., furniture, food, and household supplies as directed.

11. Utilization of the local food bank.

12. Completion of food bank reports and ordering.

13. Communication with the Counselors/Case Managers about day-to-day resident chore issues.

14. Oversee special cleaning projects such as the attic and resident rooms (remain present at all times during resident room packing).

15. Assess that household laundry is completed.

16. Lead in the cleaning and setting up of a vacant room.

17. Ensure all bedrooms have the required furniture and mattress covers per BSAS regulations.

18. Oversee safe kitchen practices per serve safe regulations to include safe storage of groceries.

19. Participate in daily kitchen duties and special projects (Graduations, cook outs, holidays, parties, etc.).

20. Supervise and monitor the health and safety of residents in the program.

21. Completion of daily monitoring and communication log.

22. Assisting residents in following daily schedule and routines.

23. Responsible for maintaining the staffing ratio as assigned by the Program Director; (remaining on-site as directed by supervisor).

24. Attending and participating in weekly staff meetings, as assigned by the Program Director.

25. Actively promote recovery.

26. Cooperate with clinical staff to ensure effective and efficient programming.

27. Answering telephone.

28. Assist with resident needs and daily requirements.

29. Assist with daily operations such as food shopping, meal preparation, monitoring of chores, household tasks as assigned.

30. Participate in individual and group supervision as assigned by the Program Director.

31. Participate in your performance evaluation with the Program Director.

32. Have knowledge and understanding of DPH regulations.

33. Adhere to all Programmatic Policies and Procedures, including Driving Policy.

34. Occasional transportation of residents is possible.

35. Adhere to LHI employee handbook rules.

36. Appropriate utilization of on-call procedures.

37. Responsible for the immediate notification of safety/health/legal issues happening in the program (resident or programmatic), including completing an Internal or Critical Incident Report form.

38. Complete agency training to utilize electronic health records and complete appropriate services as assigned.

39. Responsible for timely calling out to identified supervisor due to inability to cover the shift.

40. Responsible for completing and authorizing weekly timesheets using our online portal.

41. Provide Crisis Intervention (resident and programmatic issues)

42. Utilizing overdose and prevention training (Narcan) if needed.

43. Responsible for completing both in person and online trainings as assigned monthly.

44. Responsible for the cleanliness of office and communal spaces.

45. Adhere to all HIPAA and 42.CFR guidelines.

46. Complete medication training with program nurse or Medication Specialist.

47. Adhere to all programmatic medication policies and procedures.

48. Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications.

49. Complete daily medication counts.

50. Other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Food Safety/Serve Safe Certified

3. Current certification in CPR
