Lowell Farms is Hiring an Of Delivery Driver Near Los Angeles, CA

Summary

The Delivery Driver Delivers products and goods safely and efficiently to customers within a set timeframe and ensures the proper handling and delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer care. The Delivery Driver does daily routes that can be up to but not limited to 8 hours a day on the road and is responsible for driving a van or a lighter vehicle to deliver products, as well as executing admin and loading duties. The ideal candidate is preferably based in Los Angeles as this position will cover Los Angeles County and its surroundings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the rules and regulations of the road at all times
  • Collect payments at the time of delivery, schedule pickups, recognize and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Keep an accurate record of any refused product
  • Communicate with the Logistics Coordinator(s) daily regarding product needs and discrepancies
  • Asks for feedback on provided services then share details with the Account Manager by communicating any questions asked or feedback received
  • Request invoices and transfer document revisions as required
  • Verify that all assigned orders are loaded and prepared with the corresponding invoices, manifests, and Metrc tags
  • Ensure all orders and products match the order before leaving
  • Serve a customer service role by representing the company whenever making deliveries
  • Document in Asana upon delivery and carefully notify all delivery opportunities and payments
  • Follow Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Review deliveries with customers and ensure all product Is accounted for
  • Record the customer's payment method, the amount paid, date, name, and customer signature for each delivery and payment pick-up
  • Communicate feedback from customers and note specific opportunities
  • Call customers at least 30 minutes out to confirm the delivery
  • Unload and load cross-dock the transfer vehicle
  • Assist with daily cross-dock transfer and manufacturing pickups as requested
  • Report vehicle mileage, routine maintenance, and service requests in Asana
  • Report any accidents or vehicle Issues to supervisors promptly
  • Load, unload, prepare, Inspect, maintain, and operate the delivery vehicle
  • Organize and maintain staged orders and delivery distribution area
  • Communicate with the leadership team to maintain supply inventory levels
  • Prepare cash collection and NET term paperwork for transfers to Accounts Receivable
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience
  • Must have a positive and professional team player attitude
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and a sense of urgency
  • Must enjoy driving
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and valid Insurance
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer In the United States without sponsorship
  • Under state law, all cannabis industry employees must be over the age of 21 years of age

  • Prolonged periods of sitting while driving extended for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to follow proper lifting techniques, which are crucial to prevent injuries when handling cargo
  • Ability to climb in and out of the vehicle frequently, especially for deliveries that involve multiple stops
  • Ability to Operate the vehicle's controls, such as steering, brakes, and gears, which requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in different weather conditions, which may include extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow
  • Must be able to be comfortable and adapt to the space of a vehicle cabin
  • Capability of maneuvering vehicles safely in various traffic conditions, including parallel parking, merging onto highways, and navigating tight spaces
  • Good vision, including the ability to read road signs and maps, is essential for safe driving, or the use of prescription glasses when needed or as directed by your medical provider
  • Adequate hearing is necessary to hear horns, sirens, and other important auditory cues on the road
