We are looking for workers in the Macon and Warner Robins area. In search for a worker to provide personal care services in the home of the family member. Services will be provided to adults with developmental disabilities or elderly Monday-Friday and time will vary based off the family needs. You must have reliable transportation. If you are vaccinated, you must provide proof and if you are not vaccinated you must wear a mask at all times.
MUST HAVE WORKED DIRECTLY WITH ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES or Elderly YOUR PAY WILL BE BASED OFF OF YOUR EXPERIENCE AND POSITIVE REFERRALS. NO EXCEPTIONS ON THE EXPERIENCE. Working with your family or friends and it was nonpaid is not experience. Must be paid experience.
Responsibilities of the position:
Community Support / Community inclusion
Engage in activities within their communities
Assisting with personal care tasks: ADL's, Bathing, dressing and Personal hygiene, medication assistance, and doctor appointments/errands, etc.
Light meal preparation, Light housekeeping (making bed, ensure clutter-free environment)
Teaching/ Promoting independent living skills, coping skills and anger management.
The ideal candidate:
Should be patient, professional, respectful, demonstrates ability to listen, follow service plans, follow instructions/directives but be creative/innovative, have good attendance and respect family personal homes. Also needs to be dependable (on time, etc.), reliable and trustworthy. Have a positive and non-judgmental mindset, has good communication skills and ability to write daily progress notes per PCA Guidelines. Also have CPR/first aid (can be trained or qualified to be certified), pass background check and drug screen.
