Low Bob's is Hiring a District Leader Near Shelbyville, IN

Inspire and motivate Store Teams to deliver outstanding guest service, grow sales, meet appearance expectations, and beat financial plans. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times within the stores. The District Leader position will include tasks such as cycle counting, training and audits of cash/inventory/lottery shortages. Transfer of slow-moving items to stores with a higher sales record. Monitoring pricing and merchandising at the store level. Travel will be required, and overnight provisions may need to be made to properly complete the task.
Specific Duties- Including but not limited to:
 
Leading People:
  • Provide clear and firm direction and follow-up in a collaborative and respectful manner
  • Role model the behaviors you expect 
  • Assist the team in any capacity needed
  • Develop long-range succession and talent plans by mentoring others 
Profit & Growth:
  • Provide input and execute sales growth initiatives
  • Analyze weekly and monthly financial performance and report on numbers to the Regional Operations Director
  • Monitor and minimize store operating expenses 
  • Monitor and minimize labor expenses 
  • Work with store teams to minimize shrink
  • Deliver exemplary guest service to achieve growth objectives
Cycle Counts:
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts at every store
  • Conduct one full store count with the other District Leaders within the region per month
Loss Prevention:
  • Investigate cash, lottery, inventory, deposit, time theft, etc. as needed and report findings to the Regional Operations Director
  • Ensure all team members are paying for products consumed from the store
  • Watch the video as required
  • Work with local authorities as needed
Training/ Education
  • Ongoing coaching and development for professional growth of Store Management 
  • Efficient POS usage
  • Managerial paperwork
  • Merchandising and marketing
  • Educate staff on new products and procedures
  • Ensure proper completion of new hire training 
  • Minimize Turnover within the District
FDA and other legal compliance of store operations 
Ensure 100% compliance with BARS and FDA Shops
Pricing/ Merchandising monitoring:
  • Ensuring the company’s merchandising programs are executed and uniformly carried out in all stores. 
  • Properly cascading product ordering opportunities to quickly find a resolution
  • Monitor, adjust, and approve store orders in the district on a weekly basis
  • Maintain maximum in-stock position in all locations at all times
  • Ensure each store’s compliance with only having approved signage in the windows and throughout the store
  • Ensure proper pricing of all merchandise throughout the store
  • Ensure price changes are completed properly and in a timely fashion at all stores
  • Monitor competitor pricing and/or changes on a regular basis
  • Assist in store opening and closings as directed 
  • Assume Team Member/Store Manager duties in emergency situations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Transfer product to desired locations as needed
  • Travel to locations, possibly overnight if necessary (Rarely)
  • Work with Regional Operations Director and Maintenance Team to ensure every site is properly maintained and meeting company appearance standards
Position Requirements:
  • The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Prior supervisor experience is preferred. 
  • This position requires both written and oral communication and requires a high level of interpersonal relationship skills with personnel at all levels within the organization and the public. 
  • Must be able to read, write, count, accurately complete computer documentation and run a point-of-sale register.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, bend lift, move up to 50 pounds of merchandise occasionally, and frequently lift and move 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours and days.
  • This position requires effective decision-making in a timely manner, particularly in situations where failure to do so would diminish the quality of services and adversely impact corporate investment.
