Job Overview:
Join our expanding law firm as an estate planning/probate attorney! We are looking for a skilled professional with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities to work full-time. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of estate planning, be a qualified attorney, and possess excellent written communication skills.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other resources
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Prepare and present legal arguments
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations
Skills:
- Strong research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other legal research tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client representation
- Ability to negotiate and litigate cases effectively
- Proficiency in legal drafting for the preparation of contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for case analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of attorneys
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Minimum of [number] years of experience practicing law
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
