Our Opportunity

The Tool Room Manager oversees tool room/warehouse operations for Lovegreen Industrial Services, providing critical support to field millwright projects. This role has daily oversight of equipment, tooling, and trucking needs for field projects, as well as scheduling of drivers to deliver equipment and tooling to and from job sites in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. Additional responsibilities include maintenance oversight for trucking, equipment, and small tooling, and DOT compliance across the Company’s small trucking fleet.

What You’ll Do

• Create and foster accountability to direct reports (drivers, mechanic, and tool room assistant) through effective leadership and management
• Receive tooling and equipment request lists from Field Project Managers, validate that requests are complete, and determine if the request can be fulfilled for the dates requested
• Manage a system of organization for all tooling inventory and oversee check-in and check-out procedures for all field tooling and equipment
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and trailers, ensuring responsible safe load procedures are followed and loads are properly aligned and secured
• Schedule drivers and deliveries, dictating flow and priority of tasks on a daily basis
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs as needed
• Lead team to complete planned and unplanned maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Ensure DOT compliance with our fleet of trucks and maintain driver qualification files
• Manage budget for tool room, replacement and growth tooling needs, and keep tools in a quality and safe working order
• Communicate across departments to ensure smooth and accurate tracking of assets on jobsite
• Complete other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Strong command of millwright or industrial tools and equipment required
• 5 years experience as a millwright, mechanic, or related field
• Previous experience managing people and resources
• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Suite of products
