JOB DESCRIPTION OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: Truck Care Service Advisors help run our business by providing an exceptional customer service experience while assisting the Tire Care General Manager oversee general operations at the location.

All tire shop employees are responsible for sales, facility maintenance, and maintaining a safe work environment.

JOB SUMMARY: Truck Care Service Advisors are responsible for providing an unbeatable customer service experience while also performing various daily tire care technician duties and managerial duties by overseeing, directing, and coordinating activities around the tire shop facility to better serve customers. A Customer Service Manager will also provide tire care services to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free. • Provide exceptional customer service and verify that all employees of the location are doing the same. • Recognize and resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely manner. • Recognize opportunities to establish and improve the satisfaction of the customer to create customer loyalty. • Work with the Tire Care Manager to ensure smooth and profitable operation of tire shop. • Perform service writing functions to expedite the flow of business. • Assist Truck Care General Manager to effectively manage employee turnover and retention. Assist the Truck Care General Manager to recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and coach employees. Collaborate with Manager on personnel changes as necessary. • Delegate tasks as needed and follow-up with employees to ensure that tasks are being completed. • Responsible for checking task lists throughout the day and ensuring that the tire shop task list is completed daily. • Accurately invoice and process payment for services performed. • Operate a company vehicle to perform roadside mechanical repairs as needed. • Responsible for accuracy of the administrative documents in the tire shop. • Assist with tire care services as needed. • Assist with basic tire technician duties. • Perform basic equipment repairs. • Perform inspections on tires and make recommendations to customers based on findings. • Perform tire care services such as repairing tires to safe and drivable conditions, replacing tires if a repair is not possible and other similar tire services to serve the needs of the customer. • Keep the tire shop facility clean, organized, and secure. • Update HAZCOM Manual and Safety Data sheets. • Maintain personal grooming standards. • Other tasks as assigned. **This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Managers may ask employees to perform duties beyond this job description.** EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REQUIRMENTS: • Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred • Experience: • 6 months of facilities maintenance preferred • 6 months of entry level management experience preferred • 1-2 Years’ experience in class 7 and 8 truck /trailer repairs • Certifications: • DOT Certified or willing and able to be certified within the first 30 days of employment • Requirements: • Must have a valid driver’s license • Must have a clean and consistent record of safety SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Skills: • Hard Skills: Ability to learn and perform light mechanical diesel repairs, basic housekeeping tasks, repair and maintenance procedures, knowledge of electrical breakers, scissor lift operation, and safety glasses/vest usage • Soft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic • Typical Physical Demands: • Regularly required to talk and hear at a normal range • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day • Frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus BACKGROUND CHECKS: All offers of employment may be conditioned on receipt of a background check report and/or drug screen that is acceptable to Love’s

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. While performing the duties, the employee is frequently exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, and human waste.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel is expected for this position.
