Position Summary:

The Caregiver/Resident Assistant performs routine service duties to provide for the care, comfort and safety of residents in a residential setting. Assists residents with personal hygiene and meals, according to specific procedures.

We currently have the following openings:

• Afternoon Shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) - part time (5% shift premium)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned residents under direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assists residents with showers, dressing, oral hygiene, bed making, meal service, activities, wellness programs, preparation for doctors' appointments, and outings.
• Provides meal service in a main dining area. Offers and distributes snacks, supplements and special requests under the direction of the nurse.
• Responds to resident call system to determine resident's needs and relay information to appropriate nursing/administrative personnel in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a Caregiver is preferred.
• Ability to interact with residents, families, supervisors, and peers in a supportive, cooperative and courteous manner.

Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or without the aid of mechanical devices):

• Must be able to move throughout the workday (sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat and walk).
• Must be able to cope with the physical and emotional stress of the position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $16.50 per hour
