This position is accountable for initiating and monitoring the credentialing process for the Medical Staff Department. Demonstrate ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercise initiative and judgment, and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority. Under the direction of the Medical Staff Services Supervisor, provides administrative support for Medical Staff Services, maintains document files and databases, answers incoming calls, retrieves, sorts and prioritizes incoming documents, including mail and customer inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two (2) years' post high school training preferred
• Three (3) years' of secretarial/clerk experience required
• Background in hospital or Medical Staff office preferred
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills a must
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
