Job Summary and Duties:

This position is responsible for performing all MRIs for all departments. This person must possess a good personality with the ability to establish good working relationships with varying personalities (patients, co-workers and physicians) You must possess good organizational skills and the ability to handle information in a confidential manner. This position requires the ability to perform office work directly related to general operations, must exercise discretion and independent judgment.

The duties include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology. Radiopharmacology, and medical terminology
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data
• Adaptability to constantly changing imaging scenarios
• Read doctors dictations and determine what MRI, if any, are needed
• Ability to work independently and multitask
