Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join our medical imaging team. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations using ultrasound technology. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and detailed imaging results.
Duties:
- Perform ultrasound scans on patients using specialized equipment
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Obtain and record patient history and pertinent medical information
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret results and develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist with other medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, mammography, or PET scans as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong understanding of ultrasound technology and techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate interpretation of images
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including emergency room settings
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Ultrasonographer
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
