Pay Grade: Job Description: IT Project Manager is a member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Portfolio Management Office (PMO). This position will guide the development of standard processes and procedures utilized by the PMO staff in adherence to SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle, with an emphasis on process improvement as it relates to future state of applications and improving project delivery. It is also responsible for managing multiple projects through the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities: - (Project Management): Manages multiple projects that may have competing resource needs; determines necessary resources needed on the implementation with an understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs; execution of traditional BA tasks such as requirements gathering, testing and deployment; documents with attention to detail; breaks down projects and relevant documentation into individual components; conducts process improvement mapping sessions with stakeholder groups as well as properly documents the results.
- (Project Management...): Responsible for defining of PMO processes and procedures; including but not limited to defining and documenting standard use of the PMO's PPM tool; establishing practices, templates, and tools to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization. (70%)
- (Supervision): Supervise contract staff (Project Managers and Business Analysts) including approval of weekly time sheets; mentoring and reviewing work product for quality, consistency, adherence to PMO standards and time lines. (20%)
- Other duties as assigned. (10%)
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of related experience
- Experience in SDLC Methodologies/Agile/SCRUMM, and/or SDLC/Waterfall.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Project Management and Productivity Tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the service provider infrastructure domain or telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of service provider infrastructure technologies, such as network infrastructure, data centers, cloud services, and telecommunications.
Certifications/Licenses: - PMP Certification: Must have PMP certification or obtain within 12 months of employment.
