Louisiana Medical Management Company is Hiring a X-Ray Technician Near Orleans, LA
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and prepare them for x-ray procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain the best view of specific body area as requested by the physician.
- Implement protocols for patient safety and minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Operate and maintain x-ray equipment to produce clear and precise diagnostic images.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and maintain patient records.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members.
- Follow HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- State licensure as an X-Ray Technician, where applicable.
- Excellent patient service skills and the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.
- Strong knowledge of safety and infection control procedures.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills, including the use of electronic health record systems.
