Report To: Production Supervisor

Purpose: To perform basic janitorial duties and assist in in-line inspections as needed.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping all office areas, and hallways daily for Headquarters and the Low Vision Center.
• Empty trash containers and dust blinds and window seals at Headquarters and the Low Vision Center offices several times daily.
• Clean and sanitize door handles, coffee pots, sinks, countertops, and empty trash in Headquarters and the Low Vision Center breakrooms several times daily.
• Clean and sanitize sinks, urinals, toilets (inside, outside, and underneath), clean mirrors, dust decorative molding and pictures and empty trash cans in Headquarters and the Low Vision Center bathrooms several times daily.
• Fill in at other departmental locations when needed.
• Maintain an adequate level of cleaning inventory for Headquarters and the Low Vision Center and communicate with the appropriate personnel to replenish clean supply stock.
• Assist in the line of production as directed by the supervisor.
• Check for potential safety issues in all public areas daily and report them to the attention of the Division’s Director.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods with light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, and repetitive motions.
• One year of janitorial experience is required.
