Job Overview
The Computer Science (CS) Resource Teacher will work in the Computer Science Office to expand opportunities in the Computer Science Pipeline as well as provide entry points for existing and new courses within the LCPS Computer Science Pathways for students, curricular resources, professional development, and technical support for teachers as they implement new curricula in their classrooms. The CS Resource Teacher will engage in organizing events and workforce development initiatives such as Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day with industry partners. The CS Resource Teacher will work with Department of Teaching and Learning staff, Computer Science Office staff, and school-based staff to provide support and resources that deepen students’ knowledge, skills, and habits of mind that characterize science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; that align with the Profile of a Graduate and support the LCPS vision of Culturally Responsive Instruction and Deeper Learning for all students.

Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
Education Bachelor’s degree
Experience Three years of successful teaching experience in computer science courses preferred
Licenses and Certifications Holds or is eligible for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License
