Grounds and Athletic Field Technician

Job Description:

This Grounds and Athletic Field Tech position will be responsible for providing quality workmanship and expertise in our Grounds Dept, servicing all Lou Fusz Properties, including multiple youth athletic sports complexes spread across the St. Louis Metro area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, consistently maintain safe and efficient work practices, and bring a great attitude! Full, part time, and seasonal positions available. Pay range is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains high standards for the cleanliness and presentation of grounds and landscaping at all Fusz Properties.
• Evaluates grounds regularly for routine and non-routine maintenance. Develops and recommends action plans to address noted deficiencies.
• Research and maintain up to date knowledge of “Best Practices” within the commercial grounds and landscape Industry.
• Operate commercial grounds and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, including but not limited to vehicles, mowers, trimmers, blowers, sprayers and other motorized equipment as well as manually powered tools such as shovels, hammers, and spreaders.
• Provide excellent customer service to all Fusz clients and maintain professional and respectful relationships with all fellow team members.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience with commercial grounds and landscaping equipment and practices preferred.
• Must be willing to submit to background check and drug screening

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift up to 60lbs frequently and exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting. Position requires performance in many adverse weather conditions including extreme heat, cold and precipitation.
