Lotte Global Logistics - North America
Location: Torrance, CA
LGLNA is launching a major North America Expansion that includes core 3PL services; including warehousing, trucking (drayage) and truckload brokerage.

JOB SUMMARY
This position will work across all major functional areas to ensure the successful implementation and operational execution strategy of our new warehouse near Torrance, CA.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure adoption and accountability for our “Behavior based safety culture”, by and in addition to working with our safety and risk mitigation team to continually train, proactively identify risk and motivate employees to live the culture.
  • Develop and ensure implementation of warehouse start-up and achievement of performance objectives.
· Be an effective leader and provide direction to ensure we build an organization dedicated to customer service, innovation, effectiveness, safety and flexibility.
  • Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
· Lead and manage facility start-up operations, utilizing best practices, implement operating strategies, performance objectives and key initiatives to successfully achieve results.
· Ensure an effective administrative process including managing flow of paperwork, allocating, waving, and routing and how those tasks may impact floor activities.
· Ensure that work activities are properly documented and that company revenue is protected through accurate and complete billing processes and audit mechanisms.
· Use of relevant information systems (e.g., WMS, YMS) to track activity and performance.
· Serve as liaison between Sales and Business Development teams and warehouse/dock to communicate and solve problems between customer demands and operational constraints.
· Control operational aspects in all areas of responsibility to include performance and effectiveness – including relevant KPI and Metrics performance
· Manage relationships in a professional and courteous fashion with key business partners including internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborates with leadership to develop accurate forecasting in order to achieve operations and production budgets and performance objectives.
· Ensure warehouses operate in compliance with federal, state, and local rules, and regulations
MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
· The employee must be proficient in English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Up to 5 years’ progressive Operations Management experience in warehousing, transloading, order fulfillment and omni channel distribution.
· Comfort with WMS processes, including inventory control and case/e-commerce picking
· Able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner and create solutions independently.
· Familiarity with a variety of best-in-class supply chain concepts, practices and procedures.
· Familiarity with high volume pick/pack and direct to consumer omni-channel processes preferred.
· Hands-on experience in 3PL operations, specifically transloading is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating metrics
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical results
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and days, especially during start-up.
