Aquatectonic Architects, the premier designer of commercial amenity pools, aquatic centers, and spas, headquartered in the New York metro area, is seeking professionals with architectural, engineering, and related commercial construction design experience to join our busy and growing team. Aquatic design experience is helpful, but not required.
As a member of our team, you will work on a range of exciting projects at the intersection large scale urban development, community centers, country clubs, and municipal parks. We collaborate with owners, architects, engineers and end-users to design high-value aquatic experiences such as competition pools, amenity/ leisure pools, therapy pools, spray parks and water features. Our work is fast paced, highly collaborative, and for the right individual, endlessly fascinating!
In the role of project manager, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of multiple aquatic projects from start to finish. You will organize, plan, coordinate, and execute projects of varying complexity, including direction and oversight of technical staff, and management of fee budgets and schedules. You will contribute to the production of deliverables as needed and assist in the securing of regulatory approvals.
The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, is technically oriented, motivated, and curious. A minimum of five years of experience in an architectural or related setting is preferred. Candidates must learn and become proficient in referencing multiple codes in varying jurisdictions and municipalities. AutoCAD proficiency and familiarity with architectural drawing standards is required.

Your work will play a great part in the most important amenity in their projects. As Project Manager, you must manage multiple pool design projects, be a creative problem solver with great communication and interpersonal skills. You should be highly skilled with AutoCAD and learn the Health Code with respect to pools. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary design team and coordinate the pool fabrication/ construction and its practical installation into many different types of settings.
