As a Technical UI Artist you will work closely with UI/UX Artists to bridge the gap between tech and artistry in order to achieve the visual and technical goals of the UI. You will be an expert in the Unreal Engine.

What You'll be doing:

• Implement interfaces, in the Unreal Engine, that are easy to understand, easy to navigate, and provide an effective end user experience
• Provide in game UI assets
• Develop and maintain tools and pipelines for efficient UI asset creation and integration
• Identify technical limitations and potential solutions for UI assets and systems•
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure consistency and quality across the game
• Troubleshoot UI technical issues
• Write scripts and tools to aid Art & UI/UX teams

What you bring to our team:

• 5-12 years of experience in AAA game studios
• Masterful knowledge of the Unreal material system. Candidates should know how to build robust, complex, dynamic UI materials and shaders in Unreal, know how to build their structure in which they can be triggered, modified, and connected to other systems throughout the UI.
• Advanced knowledge of UMG. Candidates should know how to construct and animate advanced widgets and screen layouts in the Unreal UMG system.
• The ability to create polished, hi-fidelity mockups of screens and features (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and how to convert elements of approved mockups into in-game assets using textures, materials, animations, etc.

Great to have:

• Knowing some 3D, and how it can be used in conjunction with the listed critical requirements
• UX Skills - The ability to ingest a design spec, create UX flows (figma, Xd, miro )for rapid iteration based on that spec, and the creation of UX documentation to inform expectations and implementation for said feature.
