Los Angeles Rams is Hiring a Coordinator, Football Affairs (Business Activations) Near Thousand Oaks, CA

The Football Affairs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Football Affairs Manager in developing and maintaining relationships with the LA Rams business departments - including but not limited to partnerships, merchandise, marketing, community, operations, and international. This candidate will also be expected to support the day-to-day operations within Football Affairs, working in tandem with the Football Affairs Manager in executing Rookie Academy, as well as the logistics for events hosted by external departments.

The ideal candidate for this role would need to be communicative, a problem solver, consistent in messaging and outreach, organized, and collaborative. This role would work within the football side of the organization, and would need to be flexible, adaptable, and open to working with cross functional teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate and manage internal and external relationships and requests as it pertains to current players activations and partnerships.
  • Support the maintenance of a comprehensive data system and track communication and decisions as it relates to players and the execution of player requests/asks
    • Operate effectively with discretion and professionalism as it relates to players personal information.
  • Consistently record and assist in execution of current player appearance requests. Accompanying player to appearances as needed.
  • Collaborate with Football Affairs Manager to develop sustainable programming aimed to engage and establish long-term supportive relationships with both Rookie and Veteran players.
  • Attend some international trips to support player movements and needs as necessary in partnership with the Football Affairs Manager and International department.
  • Assist in managing invoices and check requests for player compensation and/or routine expenses as needed.
  • Assist in distributing gifted product as needed.
  • Support the Legends Coordinator as well as the Football Affairs Manager (as needed) with gameday activations, inclusive of pre-game events, signings, suite visits, and other duties contractually obligated as needed.
  • Assist with day-to-day activities to maintain overall efficiency and effectiveness of department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience in a sports management field.
    • One to three years of experience in program implementation or a similar administrative role.
      • Working in sports directly with athletes preferred.
    • Well-versed in athlete relations with the ability to understand athlete driven initiatives.
    • Take active part in working along side departmental team members to be serve the athletes.
    • Interact with athletes, coaches, and club executives respectfully with a high degree of professional discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service with diverse audiences; outstanding verbal, written, presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge and experience in general office skills and use of office equipment (copier, laser printers, fax machine, telephones, computers, etc.).
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within the timelines required and with accuracy.
    • Consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance.
    • Strong ability to keep teammates and supervisors informed while exercising excellent independent judgment, initiative and tact.
    • Background or experience in college or professional sports preferred but not required.
    • Must be willing to travel and work necessary hours within the NFL schedule, must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

      Salary Range: $66,600 - $70,000.
