Overview:
We are looking for a Facility Operations Assistant to join our team and assist with preparing Angels Stadium for all events. Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager and the Facilities Management Team, the Facility Operations Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all activities and in-hours facilities, event setup/breakdown with Angel Stadium, materials procurement, inventory control, disbursement as well as assisting the Facility Services office with taking calls, creating tickets and other duties. The Facility Operations Assistant is also responsible for company-wide shipping and receiving, mail operations, distribution of supplies, and maintaining warehousing and storeroom areas.
This is a full time benefit eligible position. Benefits include: medical, dental and vision insurance, 13 paid holidays, vacation accrual (2 weeks vacation), tickets to games, 401K eligibility after 1 year of employment (employer matching and safe harbor) and more. The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$21 per hour.
Duties:
Coordinates receiving, inspecting and accepting a wide variety of materials and equipment in support of Stadium Facilities and Stadium Operations, as well as other departments
Research vendor catalogs to determine proper ordering specifications and best prices; prepare necessary paperwork and places orders for services and materials.
Responsible for ensuring that MLB mandated security and documentation procedures are followed for all clubhouse incoming and outgoing packages and mail
Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, places service and supply orders with vendors and contractors
Responsible for inventory control and event day distribution of promotional and sponsorship items which may include use of forklift, carts and scissor lift.
Monitors expenditures for budgetary accounts, coding purchases to proper departmental accounts
Ensures that equipment purchased meets ordering specifications and safety standards
Researches and analyzes information; prepares reports including recommendations, implements results
Assists with purchase and maintenance of office equipment and furniture
Act as dispatcher for event shifts when scheduled (including front desk management, taking calls and screening inquiries)
Provide key control and documentation for all stadium wide key requests
Assist with contractor check in/check out
Create work tickets for events/setup for HVAC and Electricians
Maintain all forms for use by gameday staff
Assist facilities staff and operations managers with special projects or tasks
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Higher education degree preferred.
Interest in Facility/Stadium Operations, previous experience in Operations is a plus
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Computer literate – familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired computer program knowledge – Smartsheet, PaperSave, Freshservice
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Forklift Operator Certification is a plus, willing to train if not already completed
Must have a valid drivers license

May be subjected to extreme heat (over 100 degrees) when working outdoors i.e. performing work in an around the stadium.
May be subjected to loud noises during stadium events.
Ability to frequently traverse to various locations throughout the stadium
