CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Administrative Services Division/Information Management SUPRVISOR: Records and Information Management Program Manager Position Summary: Under general supervision of the RIM Program Manager, Chief Information Officer, or designee, provides administrative and technical support for the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive records information management program that encompasses an enterprise information governance program. Assignments may involve operational and organizational development activities. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information. Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED.
Two years’ experience in records and information management and information governance.
Must possess or obtain an Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) Essentials of Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles Certificate within six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications for RIM Specialist:
Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science, Business Administration, Computer Science or other related field.
Experience working for municipal government in records and information management and information governance.
Experience with the New Mexico IPRA, Public Records Act, FOIA and other records or information management regulatory requirements mandated by law.
