SUMMARY OF POSITIONWe are seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our team in Dillsburg, PA. This individual will follow proper procedures, perform accurate calculations and work in a team-based environment. This individual is responsible for performing topography, construction stakeout, as built and control surveys using both conventional and GPS methods. 

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Reviews and understands the project plans and specifications
• Sets up and maintains permanent control throughout the entire line and grade portion of the job
• Coordinates layout with in-house personnel and outside surveyors
• Exercises knowledge in the use of data surveying software
• Responsible for the layout of anchor bolts, interior and exterior foundations
• Will be responsible for stakeout file prep prior to layout
• Validates accurate dimensions by reviewing the drawings prior to execution 
• Attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, continuously looks for improvements 
• Able to complete a layout in an accurate, efficient and timely manner 
• Responsible for the protection of job specific equipment 
• Travels from job site to job site when/as needed
• Works closely with other crew members; in a fast-paced environment 
• Performs other duties associated with concrete work as assigned by foreman and/or project manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience is required; preferably 2-3 years
• Experience and knowledge of concrete construction
• Knowledge and experience with Trimble field link and data surveying software is preferred
• Strong ability to read and comprehend blueprints and drawings
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
• Experience with hand tools associated with the trade
• Must have experience with Microsoft products such as word, excel and outlook
• Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
