Overview:
The Commons on St. Anthony (3 St Anthony St, Auburn, NY 13021) is seeking qualified and dedicated LPNs to Join the Loretto Family!
We offer Shift Differentials on Evenings and Nights, and Overtime after 8 hours (not 40) so some LPNs can make up to $53.46/hour working OT!
The Commons offers PayActiv, which allows Loretto employees to receive an advance on wages for which they've already worked, but have not yet been paid!
The Commons on St Anthony in Auburn, NY has full time and part time shifts available - Days, Evenings and Nights! Whether you are a new grad or a seasoned nurse, we would love to speak with you!

Availability for these positions can vary.
Responsibilities:
Work under the direct supervision of the nurse manager/charge nurse and general supervision of the day supervisor, and follow instructions and directions from unit nursing and medical staff, with the ability to function as a team leader and carry out inherent responsibilities when assigned.
Perform a variety of routine nursing duties to assist physicians and professional nursing staff with the care and treatments of residents in the rehabilitation center.
Listen to daily reports, receive and write up assignments.
Perform and assist with various nursing procedures according to the procedure manual. Assist physicians with treatments or examinations when assigned. Observe treatment and/or service performed by team members or other staff members. Assist with all phases of ADL (resident assignment).
Must be physically able to assist and help other staff personnel to lift, turn, move, or transfer helpless or dependent residents when necessary, observing proper mechanics and using Hoyer lift and/or Transaid lift when situation demands such.
Keep nurse manager/charge nurse appraised of significant changes in residents’ behavior or physical condition. Make rounds to observe and assess residents’ general condition and performance of team members, offering help and/or advice when necessary.
Conduct or participate in team conferences on specific resident(s).
Chart significant notations on residents’ charts. Participate in supplying input for the monthly nursing summaries.
Participate in development of resident care plans. Give careful attention to critical residents. Support family members when needed.
Function as medication nurse if approved by proper authority. Observe proper procedure regarding the passing of medication. May give subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and divided doses under supervision of a registered nurse. Check medication sheet for accuracy. Sign for narcotics and restricted drugs on appropriate forms. May count narcotics at change of shift.
Carry out medical aseptic technique (isolation) according to prescribed procedure.
Report periodically to nurse manager/charge nurse regarding overall functioning of team area. Notify nurse manager/charge nurse immediately relative to any personnel, resident, or family problems.
Assist with orientation of new personnel when assigned.
Attend staff meetings and in-service programs both inside and outside the facility as assigned.
Review fire and safety rules and regulations periodically with team members.
Conduct team rounds during tour of duty. Note all equipment for proper functioning and cleanliness.
Perform other similar or related duties.
Qualifications:
Requires basic knowledge of clinical nursing.
Must be able to function effectively in handling residents while performing procedures and techniques required to assist physicians and professional nursing staff.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and have current licensure with the New York State Board of Nursing.
