A Certified Recovery Coach is responsible for promoting a recovery-based approach to care with an emphasis on respect, self-direction, and empowerment by providing peer support, personal assistance, education on community resources, and other supportive services for individuals with a substance use disorder. They collaborate with certified counselors and nursing to support clients throughout the continuum of care, from pre to post discharge support services. The Certified Recovery Coach reports to the Program Manager for support and supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of the Certified Recovery Coach Certification (must be completed within 1 year of employment.)
3. Minimum of 1 year of work experience within the last 4 years.
4. Minimum of 100 hours of substance use education and 6 hours of professional Ethics and Responsibility education.
5. Valid driving license and full coverage automobile insurance.
6. An individual who has accepted their substance use history, learned to live with and manage the daily challenges of recovery, and has attained a level of personal growth and healing that gives them the understanding, insight and motivation to help others.
7. Able to travel to other sites i.e. court, probation offices, outreach locations, etc.
8. Excellent oral and writing skills
