Summary :
Our client is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and experienced individual to join their team as a Small Business Team Lead. As the Small Business Team Lead, you will be responsible for assisting in the redesign and ultimately overseeing and managing a team focused on servicing small businesses. You will play a key role in supporting and mentoring Account Managers and support staff, providing exceptional customer service, driving efficiencies, and ensuring the success and growth of our small business clientele. This position will report directly to the EVP of Commercial Lines.
Responsibilities :
•Team Management: Lead, motivate, and coach a team to achieve performance goals.
•Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all client interactions are handled professionally and efficiently and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
•Product Knowledge: Stay updated on insurance carriers' products and services, as well as industry trends regarding small businesses, regulations, and partnerships/vendors, and provide guidance and training to team members.
•Performance Development: Reviews and evaluates current operating processes and procedures and identifies bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Develops KPIs and presents reports on process improvement to management. Assist in developing and monitoring team performance metrics and take proactive measures to address any performance gaps or issues.
•Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as commercial lines, claims, operations, and marketing, to strategize improvement plans and collaborate on the best methods of implementing process improvements that maximize opportunities for business development and growth.
•Reporting: Prepare regular reports on team performance and key metrics for management review and decision-making purposes. Collects and analyzes KPIs related to process improvements and implementation of business strategies.
•Compliance: Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including licensing and compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance, with a focus on serving small businesses.
•Proven track record of success as an Account Manager and in team management roles.
•Strong understanding of insurance products, services, and industry regulations.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
•Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•Proficiency in using Applied/EPIC software and other sales tools.
•Insurance licensing and certifications
