Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is searching for a Lab Scientist, focusing on product quality analytical testing, to join our Manufacturing Sciences and Technology team (MSAT). As our MSAT Lab Scientist, you will be responsible for the execution of analytical assays and all affiliated laboratory duties. In this role, you will focus on analytical lab techniques and data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs tasks for execution of simple lab studies/analytical work with a high level of autonomy, and more complex studies/analytical work with supervisory input.
• Executes studies or analytical methods in accordance with study protocols or SOPs.
• Drafts reports independently with supervisor/ peer review.
• Performs intermediate level of data analysis with the ability to recognize trends and areas where more analysis should be performed. Performs basic statistical data analysis, charting, linear regression analysis.
• Reviews lab documentation and provides recommendations for updates and corrections.
• Level of this role is dependent on experience

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or related science degree.
• 5 years of experience in the biotech industry and hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation.
• Hands on experience with: HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, ELISA, qPCR.
• Working experience with data analysis.
• Good presentation skills, teamwork and ability to interact effectively with internal and external project teams, including customer communications.
• Strong attention to detail.
