Lonoke School District is Hiring a SPED Paraprofessional (Middle School) Near Lonoke, AR
Assist the teacher and/or oversee students in planning and carrying out their daily activities in order to provide a positive learning experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities or assignments.
- Assist in preparation of classroom materials.
- Assist with record keeping, reporting and filing.
- Maintain an attractive and orderly environment.
- Supervise students as assigned and support student learning.
- Assist with the assessment and evaluation of learning as necessary.
- Assist with identification of and attention to children’s health and hygiene needs.
- Engender positive communications with parents.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and data.
- Assist students in behavior modification.
- Participate in staff development; attend required training sessions as assigned.
- Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met.
