ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities or assignments
• Assist in preparation of classroom materials
• Assist with record keeping, reporting and filing
• Maintain an attractive and orderly environment
• Supervise students as assigned and support student learning
• Assist with the assessment and evaluation of learning as necessary
• Assist with identification of and attention to children’s health and hygiene needs
• Engender positive communications with parents
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and data
• Assist students in behavior modification
• Participate in staff development; attend required training sessions as assigned
• Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met
• Display professionalism in appearance, attitude, and actions
