Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area. Responsible for compliance with standards/policies during assigned shift. Responsible for supervising, assigning and directing activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift. Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources. Ensures that Longview Regional's values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.
Education: Minimum education as required by licensing Agency, BSN preferred
Experience : 1. Previous Cardiac / Telemetry preferred
2. Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course preferred
3. Previous Critical Care Course preferred
Licenses / Certificates : 1. Current Texas RN license or current compact state license
2. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS within 9 months of hire or transfer
3. Critical Care Level 1 obtained within first 6 months of hire
4. Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred
