Job Duties:-Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
-Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
-Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
-Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
-Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
Minimum Requirements:-Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
-Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
-Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
-A minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
