LongTerm Healthcare facility -

The Staff Scheduler is responsible for assisting with staff scheduling of the Nursing Department. Assist with coordinating an effective schedule under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Works directly with nursing supervisors on shift specific nursing care hour needs.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Schedules all nursing staff and prepares weekly nursing schedule. Notifies staff of schedule and necessary schedule changes.
• Receives incoming calls and directs appropriately in order to address nursing scheduling issues. Notifies Nursing Administration when there is a lack of appropriate staff availability or staff conflict regarding the schedule.
• Obtains permission from the Dir. of Nursing / Administrator prior to scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
• Adjusts schedules as needed to accommodate changes, i.e., illness, vacation, PTO days, etc.
• Collaborates with Nursing Administration daily to ensure adequate and appropriate staff is allocated.
• Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assists payroll manager with processing of weekly payroll and appropriate nursing hours.
