Longs Human Resource Services is Hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk Near Alabama, AL
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. (Secondary)
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. (Secondary)
- Processes all GM and Ford orders. (Primary)
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves and counting accurately. (Secondary)
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. (Secondary)
- Process Production Work Orders for Warehouse to pull. (Primary)
- Coordinates with Customer Logistics for all shipped product / delivery issues and keeps Customer Service Manager updated (Secondary)
- Compares identification information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming or outgoing shipments to verify information against BOL’s, invoices, or other records (Secondary)
- Process and create all BOL’s (Secondary)
- Helps with Labeling as time permits (Secondary)
- Any other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager
Shipping and Receiving Qualifications / Skills :
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Understand and Utilize Micro-Soft Office, Web Based Shipping application Fed Ex, UPS etc.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong typing, data entry and 10 key skills
Education, Experience :
- 2 year associates degree preferred or High School diploma and equivalent work experience
- 1 year logistics or customer service experience a plus
