Long Island Ducks Baseball is Hiring an Entry level front office position (seasonal: May - September) Near Central, NY

The Long Island Ducks, a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, are looking to add a seasonal entry level staff member to their front office. This is an excellent and unique opportunity for a current college graduate to gain valuable experience in the sports and event management industry. This is an hourly position ($16/hour) that would begin now and run throughout the entire season.

The main focus of this position will be on ticket sales and event/ballpark operations, while contributing to all aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Contributing significantly to all ticket sales efforts via phone sales, networking, etc.
Ticket sales include season tickets, mini plans, group ticket sales packages and more.
Ballpark and event operations management. This includes ballpark setup, breakdown, maintenance, upkeep, merchandise store, field maintenance, contractor/vendor relations, parking and much more.
Contributing to all aspects of community relations in regards to kids clinics/club, mascot appearances, donations, customer service, promotions, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree.
Prior experience working events/sports is preferred.
Prior ticket sales and customer service experience is a plus.
The ability/willingness to work nights and weekends
An enthusiastic and creative personality along with a strong work ethic
