Position Summary

As a LONG Controls Service Technician, you will support customers by troubleshooting and programming temperature control systems based on project specifications.

Using your expertise in the commercial HVAC industry, you will perform installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems.

Candidates for this role will need to be located West of Vail Pass, within 100 miles of Grand Junction, and be prepared to cover customers on the Western Slope of the Rockies.

The ability to easily cover the North Western Colorado Mountains is a plus.

Pay Range : $26.83 - $50.87 per hr. plus potential profit share

Relocation bonuses are available for out of state candidates.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents
• Perform calibration and check-out of control systems, and ensures that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met
• Assist the graphics coordinator and / or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents
• Instruct customer's personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conversation routines
• Provide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentation (submit all redlined drafting to application engineers)

Required Qualifications

• 1 years of tech school and 1 years of DDC / BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience OR 2 years of DDC / BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience
• Valid Colorado driver license

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm & smoke removal systems, engineering, installation, and construction procedures
• Programming and troubleshooting skill with KMC, Distech, Tridium / Honeywell, and other equivalent systems

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Experience with pneumatic controls

• Routine sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor
