Long Beach Heritage is a nonprofit education and advocacy group promoting public knowledge and preservation of significant historical and architectural resources, neighborhoods, and the cultural heritage of the City of Long Beach, California.
Overview
We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Long Beach Heritage’s social media presence across all platforms, and for performing a variety of tasks to ensure our social media platforms are growing and our subscribers are engaged with our content. The ideal candidate will be very proficient with social media platforms, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management skills, and exhibits a positive attitude with a willingness to learn. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Create new templates for posts and stories on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other social media platforms deemed appropriate
- Generate new content regarding historic preservation in Long Beach
- Create reels/videos to post on social media platforms
- Manage and schedule social media posts weekly
- Develop consistent branding and voice across all social media platforms
Skills
The Social Media Manager position requires effective marketing skills and the ability to establish trust and promote positive interactions with a diverse community. A minimum of two years of experience is required.
